Why does Minga offer this Student Teaching Program?
- We need more certified teachers in Colombia!
- We want Minga Teachers to feel comfortable in making their decision to teach in Colombia as well as be well prepared to perform their best as educators; time & space to complete needed TEFL certification also available.
- Why so inexpensive? Because we are already compensated by the employers, not by the teachers. Therefore, we can afford to charge teachers half the normal cost of volunteering (60,000 COP per day).
- We are one of the largest & most recognized national provider of English teachers for private schools, local & state & federal governments. We need a steady flow of many more additional inbound teachers to Colombia. We hope this onboarding program makes it easier for teachers to choose working with Minga House Foundation. We need you!
- We are committed to building a long-term relationship with our teachers and our schools as an affordable & the best industry solution provider.
- International teachers need a place to call 'Home;" especially in-between contracts. We want our teachers to know they can come stay at Minga House very affordably while we help them find their next contract whether it is in Colombia or elsewhere such as China, Ecuador, Chile.
Disclaimer: Participating in Student Teaching does not guarantee a job. Being hired is a very personal process of which we do not control. Employers make their own decision over whom they hire and so do you over any offers/opportunities we may bing your way. We only promise we will hard very hard to help you find a great opportunity and if you follow our industry & market advise your odds will be better.
Our promise: As part of your student teaching experience, you may count with full-time classroom participation collaborating with a mentor teacher of the grade/subject of your choice.
