SOLUTION: If you do not plan to purchase round-trip tickets, this option often used by experienced global travelers: Refundable Return Bus/Air Tickets - Download Option Details - Colombian airport officials will require proof that you are exiting Colombia prior to your legal stay expiration date. For instance, if you are entering as a Tourist, you must show that you are exiting within 90 days. Make sense? If you are entering as a Fellow with a Courtesy VISA, then you will have to show you are leaving prior to the expiration of your Courtesy VISA. Remember, you are responsible for your legal stay in Colombia. Be sure to follow every legal responsibility you hold as a visitor, volunteer, and fellow. If you do not have round-trip flight tickets to prove that you are going to leave while still legal in Colombia, you will have to show them proof that you are exiting the country somehow. Your choice, your decision.
